| AKAMPC logo chosen |

Out of the nine entries of seven contestants, the entry of Mr. Grecilio Mapili Jr. of San Lorenzo School was chosen by the Board of Directors as the AKAMPC logo last July 16, 2007 at the People's Hall using the following criteria:
Significance ( Interpretation and Relevance to the AKAMPC)- 50%
Originality and Creativity - 25%
Visual Impact - 25%
100%
The symbols and colors used in the logo have the following meanings:
• The heart- the root of cooperative. A member must have strong eagerness and passion to improve the life of a bigger number of community
• The coin- means sacrifice. Cooperatives start from small capital yet from the sacrifice of each member, the cooperative flourishes.
• Two big hands-from the unified forces of each member, small works become big thus resulting to a more beneficial programs for the members.
• Colors-
o GREEN means hope
o YELLOW means brighter
o BLUE means progressive and peaceful
The logo-making contest has this theme: “Empleyadong Nagkakaisa…May Pusong Kooperatiba” and it was launched last 14 June 2007 to all the departments of the City Government of San Fernando as well as schools located in the City.
