| AKAMPC launched logo-making contest |

With the theme, “Empleyadong Nagkakaisa…May Pusong Kooperatiba” AKAMPC launched its logo-making contest last 14 June 2007 to all the departments of the City Government of San Fernando as well as schools located in the City with the following mechanics in the hope of realizing one of the powers of the cooperative, which is to have a cooperative seal :
1. The contest is open to any group or individual whether from San Fernando or not.
2. Contestants may submit as many entries.
3. Designs must be drawn on a 10” x 10” illustration board using the white background.
4. Any coloring material may be used.
5. The logo must interpret the theme.
6. In the logo shall be found the acronym AKAMPC, the name of the cooperative.
7. A rationale explaining the logo must be written legibly in a short bond paper in not less than fifty (50) words to be pasted at the back of the artwork.
8. The logo should not carry the name of the artist.
9. The design of the logo must be certified original and/or officially submitted by the participant. Any complaints that may arise due to similarities, likeness or comparison of the design, the participant will be responsible to prove its authenticity. The AKAMPC, in no circumstances, shall be held liable.
10. Participant must fill out an application form and submit one (1) recent 2” x 2” colored photo.
11. All entries must be placed in individual brown envelopes and accompanied with the accomplished application form.
12. All entries for the contest shall be considered property of the AKAMPC.
13. The logo competition shall be judged on the following criteria:
Significance ( Interpretation and Relevance to the AKAMPC) - 50%
Originality and Creativity - 25%
Visual Impact - 25%
100%
14. Entries must be submitted to the AKAMPC Board of Directors through the Secretary, Ms. Maria Teresa Martinez, of the City Legal Office not later than July 13, 2007.
15. A panel of judges will select the winner on July 16, 2007 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the People’s Hall. The decision of the judges shall be final.
16. A cash prize of One Thousand Pesos (PhP1,000.00) will be awarded to the winner during the Semi-Annual General Assembly of the AKAMPC on July 26, 2007 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the People’s Hall.
